This week’s episode of my podcast continues the focus on coaching, but this time specifically as coaching is applied to the topic of productivity.
There are lots of ways the topic can come up in coaching, including beating procrastination, identifying priorities and learning how to delegate better. I also find myself supporting clients with perfectionism and feelings of overwhelm.
I suppose the most important thing I’d flag when it comes to productivity is that there’s no ‘one size fits all’ solution – despite what the internet will tell you. I define productivity as ‘doing the right thing, in the right way, at the right time’. This supports a contextual interpretation – that is, what works for you, in your personal context.
There’s no sense in copying the morning routines of billionaires – unless you’re a billionaire. And I’m sorry to say, there’s no single app that will address all the challenges you face when it comes to getting stuff done.
My approach to coaching for productivity is all about crafting a unique solution for the individual, that takes account of their values, needs and priorities. Have a listen and let me know what you think!
